What is the best possible way to prepare a superb piece of meat as beef steak? Our proposal would be medium rare in green pepper. The chef’s recommendation is to season the meat and to marinate it in the freshly ground pepper for at least 24 hours. The next step is to cook the steak on the Istrian extra virgin olive oil for a few minutes on each side. After gaining desired doneness, remove the steak from the pan and leave it to rest. Add green pepper in brine and bouillon to previously flambéed onions and brandy. To enrich the texture of the reduced sauce add cooking cream and season it as desired. Finally, pour the sauce over the rested steak and voila – your beef steak in green pepper is ready to be served. It is up to you to decide which side dish will be served with this meal.
